E10 - How does the atmosphere effect the sand patterns on Mars?

Comments:
1.14.05 Topic Decision.

Two people thought that we should have the topic atmosphere. The other two wanted volcanoes. The reason that the two of us wanted atmosphere is because it use to be the same as the Earth's and now it is so diffrent. After they said why they wanted that topic one of the other two changed their minds and thought tha atmosphere was a really good topic. The one who wanted volcanos said that they wanted that topic because there are minerals in the volcanoes that prove there was life on Mars. Because it was three to one we thought that atmosphere would be the best topic.

On Friday we took eachother's background reports and revised them. Unfortunently Rachel Ladrigan and Kaitlin Revero were the only two to have them completed and with thme at the time. Kaitlin did how Atmosphere was formed on earth and how the atmosphere was formed on Mars. Her report was very informational and she had a bibliography. Rachel had gone and found illustration of clouds and features that storms create on Mars. She had a bibliography and all was complete. Sfter much discusion we decided that to have our report be able to have a picture taken we would have to change our question. Our new question is as follows: How do storms and dust storms on Mars effect the surface?

I'd change your question just a tad. Since the only storms are dust storms, let's just leave it at that! Now, what are you going to do with that? How can you see the effects of dust storms in a visible light image?

Our question as it stands now is: How are the sand dunes formed on Mars?

Our question as it stands now is: How are snaddunes formed on Mars?

That's too general. You need to work on it. Something like what conditions must be met for a sand dune to form in . . . (name a feature) would be better.

So let me get this straight. We've given up on the thickness of the atmosphere in ancient times compared to modern, and now are only working on how much wind it takes to form the pattern? That's fine if that's the way you want to go, but I don't remember that being what we discussed on Friday. Let me know.

I'm sorry. I have you confused with another atmosphere group. You're doing fine.

Define "sand patterns." This really doesn't say anything. What do you intend to do?

Sounds like a plan!
