E17 - Is there evidence of deformation between Asraeus Mons, Pavonis Mons, and Arsia Mons that could have caused them to move?

Our group decided to do Volcanoes for our project. We all decided on volcanoes because we thought that this sounded like the most interesting choice on the list. We thought it was interesting because volcanoes can spit out some of the Earth's inner layers.
Superb question! Delve into the Tharsis Bulge to see if you can answer it. What is the relationship between those three and Olympus Mons?
Any thoughts on how you're going to do this? I think we said you should be looking for signs of plate tectonics. Remember, we're talking about a little tiny area to photograph. Whatever you decide on must fit those parameters.
I wish you luck! This is a great question and a huge challenge. It goes far beyond the type of question most ask. I'd change "faulting" to "deformation" and you really have something there! Your chances of actually picturing a spot where faulting occured is nil, but it's a great topic!
I just had a thought! What about trying to compare the ages of the flows to see if they are different? That would be easier to do than trying to find a fault or deformation.
What! That's a massive step backwards! You went from something somewhat specific to something so generic that it makes no sense at all! Get back to the three volcanoes. Your focus should be on narrowing it down to something that's going to show you that some sort of plate movement took place, or some proof that there is some age difference between the three. Don't you DARE go with something as general as what you just said. I refuse to even post that as a possible question. That's something that should have been posted week one! There, I feel better now.
Gutsy move! I like it. Now remember, the fall-back plan is to try and see if there's any difference in the ages of the lava flows for the three volcanoes. Now you must try and decide which type of deformation you're going to look for. Good Luck!
Wow, you guys just won't give up on this will you? I almost half expect you to find something now! Now the picture you selected doesn't show deformation, it just shows a curve in a lava flow.
